ABOUT
Southeast Columbus
The southeast Columbus region surrounded by highway 670, highway 270, highway 70, and highway 71 is home to many people and places. The Ohio Governor’s Mansion as well as the house of a former Ohio State University President, E. Gordon Gee, resides around the Village of Bexley, dating back to 1908, and the Village of Whitehall, dating back to 1947. Within and around these main cities are many remarkable companies such as the John Glenn Columbus International Airport and the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens as well as outstanding natural waterways like Alum Creek and Big Walnut Creek. While these may be the more well-known components of the region, there are some companies that most may not know about but have a significant impact on the environment and those who live there. Some of these companies are in good standards in relation to environment regulations, but others are not and the people between these four highways and the rest of Columbus need to be aware of how their neighbors are operating.
